Chapel escorts needed every other Sunday 9:30- Noon

Presbyterian Homes- Lake Minnetonka Shores (LMS) invites you to join us as a Sunday Chapel Service escort every other weekend.

There are two 30-minute services on Sundays at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Volunteer escorts are wanted for every other weekend from 9:30-Noon

Volunteer Purpose

To assist with chapel services by transporting residents to/from the chapel and assist as needed with the chapel service so residents can have the opportunity to participate in worship if they desire to do so.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from chapel by invitation by chaplain, staff, or volunteer leader.
• If a resident is not in a wheelchair, and needs assistance, ask a medical staff person to transfer resident.
• Remain in chapel to assist residents as needed, i.e., hand out hymnals or song sheets, turn pages, aid residents, or return resident to room as designated by staff member.

Requirements.

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Responsible and reliable

• State of MN required background check (we are a full continuum of care for seniors and have mandated state guidelines for volunteers to adhere to)
