    🛒 Gift Shop Volunteer

Help Keep Our Gift Shop Fresh, Organized & Welcoming!

Do you enjoy organizing, keeping things running smoothly, and helping others? We’re looking for a dependable volunteer to help manage the perishable items in our campus gift shop.

This important role helps ensure residents, families, staff, and visitors always have access to fresh snacks and beverages in a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.

    ⏰ Time Commitment

    • 1–2 mornings per week
    • Preferred hours: 7:00–9:00 a.m.
    • Flexible scheduling available

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    • Monitor inventory of perishable food and beverage items.
    • Check expiration dates and rotate stock using a first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.
    • Remove expired or damaged products.
    • Restock refrigerated and shelf-stable perishable items as needed.
    • Keep perishable merchandise clean, organized, and well stocked.
    • Track inventory levels and notify the Office Manager when items need to be reordered.
    • Assist with ordering perishable items when inventory is low.
    • Share feedback on popular items and suggest adjustments to product offerings.

    Reporting Relationship

The Gift Shop Volunteer reports to the LMS Office Manager, who will provide guidance, support, and oversight for this volunteer role.

Please note: This position focuses specifically on perishable inventory management. Pricing, labeling, stocking, and merchandising of non-perishable gift shop items are managed by a gift shop employee.

    We’re Looking For Someone Who:

    ✔ Is dependable and self-motivated.

✔ Enjoys organizing and paying attention to detail.

    ✔ Can work independently.

✔ Is comfortable monitoring inventory and maintaining accurate stock levels.

✔ Takes pride in keeping things fresh, organized, and welcoming.

    Why Volunteer?

Your time and talents will help create a positive shopping experience for residents, families, staff, and visitors. By keeping our gift shop’s perishable items fresh and available, you’ll make a meaningful difference in our community.

Interested in helping? We’d love to hear from you!
