Believe in Me — Volunteer Grant Researcher

Help Believe in Me identify funding opportunities that expand scholarships, mentorship, educational access, community partnerships, and essential support for marginalized youth.

Responsibilities

• Research foundation, corporate, government, and community grant opportunities aligned with Believe in Me’s mission and five pillars of caring.
• Summarize eligibility, deadlines, award ranges, priorities, required attachments, and reporting expectations.
• Maintain accurate prospect records and flag strong opportunities for the grants team.
• Collaborate remotely with grant writers and program leaders while protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

• Strong online research, reading, organization, and written communication skills.
• Ability to evaluate guidelines carefully and document sources accurately.
• Grant research, nonprofit, education, youth-development, or prospect-research experience is helpful but not required.
• Dependability, sound judgment, and alignment with Believe in Me’s values of caring, trustworthiness, innovation, and fairness.

This is a remote, ongoing volunteer opportunity. Most Believe in Me volunteers contribute approximately two to three hours per week. Orientation, role-specific training, and supervision are provided. Selected volunteers must complete Believe in Me’s application, interview, confidentiality requirements, and background-check process.
