Homeless Outreach Volunteer
Details
Description
Seattle Homeless Outreach is an all volunteer run 501(c)3. Our mission is to meet our clients where they are, without expectation or judgment, and provide basic survival supplies including food, water, sleeping bags, tents, coats, clean needles, condoms, etc. But more importantly to provide a human connection to our homeless neighbors. Seattle Homeless Outreach builds relationships with our homeless neighbors and with social service providers in the Seattle area so that, if asked, we can help to connect people in need with services that will promote their ability to succeed.
Your time volunteering on outreach will be spent preparing food and supplies, loading vehicles, and driving/hiking the supplies directly to where our clients are living. While not required, we thrive on having a group of committed volunteers who are able to attend Outreach on a consistent basis.
Volunteer opportunities are Saturday mornings in Seattle from 7:00am to about 12am, and volunteers must be available to attend for that entire time period. Our specific meeting location will be provided after you have contacted us.
